Last Session Recap

Notes

Lexia took them back to real space, she walks through the portal. Satine pokes her new spear through, when she immediately feels something pulling it into the portal, she immediately lunges through, and knocks Lexia over. Yag'Farad runs through the portal, and as he is coming out on the other side, Satine notices, and manages to move out of the way to avoid him.

Once they come out of Thalendril Mage HQ they get rushed by commoners affected by the leak caused by the portal. Once the party beats the commoners, they bind them, and start questioning one, who only said the tower.

Satine asks Lexia if they are affected by it, or not, and how could they know.

Lexia explains that she does not know, but by her observation, it seems like the poeple that have crossed the portal and come back, are not affected.

Satine suggests throwing the through the portal. As they do that with one, the rope they had tied to him fell to the ground. Satine poked her head, she was pulled through. At the other ned, the villager was sane, but confused of where he was and how he got there. Satine then threw him back, where Yag'Farad barely dodged him.

Once at Lexia's house, they rest. Lexia tells them that there is a bookt hat could help us, it's been lost for decades, and the family that was suppossed to protect it, disappeared. It us rumored that a Red Dragon took it. And since a Red Dragon was recently seen flying west, that could be an indication of where to go next. She gave Yag'Farad an Atlas of Estrigoth.

Yag'Farad asks to check the Dwarven book Satine gave to Lexia, and he found a recipe for:

Uma’s Amazing Unguent: Applying this grease to your hair or beard gives you a +2 boost to Charisma for an hour! It also makes you vulnerable (x 2) to fire damage until your next bath.

Yag'Farad opens the Atlas, and west, he can see a couple of cities, and after the cities, he sees a mountain range, named Scarsfield Summit, where there are a couple of cave systems identified, with an author's note saying that it'd be the perfect place for dragons to take up as lairs.

They head off west, but leave a note for the rest of the party. After 2 days, they reach a town called Acoton, the capital of Thaloria. Satine starts dancing and juggling. Once they reach the guard at the entrance, he asks them what caravan they are with. Satine sais "Caravan" is the name. The guard approves their entrance, and gives them a paper saying that that will grant them access. Then gives Satine a paper with his address to meet up later. Satine tells him she charges minute.

They go on to find a tavern, where they find, The Snoring Shield Inn, they approach the barkeep, who is a bugbear, Kegy, and they go back and forth on room and board, they end up agreeing on, 20% of Satine income for her entertainment, goes to Kegy, 20% goes to the tavern, and 60% to Satine and Yag'Farad, if she passes an audition. A centaur bard (Billy), completes the contract with:

Contracts that are made, shall not be broken
Contracts that are made, shall not forsaken
Contracts that are broken, shall bring misfortune
Contracts that are forsaken, shall bring death

2 hours pass by, and Satine begins her audition. She uses Major Image to cast a djin like creature playing the drums. She has her unseen servant going back and forth with a loot, playing a good rhythm. Every 4th beat, Yag'Farad will be doing some fireworks.

After being introduced by Billy announces her, there is a big glitter explosion, and Satine Misty Steps in. She pulls her whip out, and as the glitter dissipates, the djing starts following Satine's beat with the whip. She introduces herself, and points to the biggest patron, and as he stands she notices he's a Leonin named Ajani Goldmane, and asks him to step to the stage. Ash he approaches, he somersaults onto the stage. She asks if he is strong, and starts putting him through some strength tests. First crushing some crates, and then tied him with her whip, and he succeeded. She then had him tough her hand, and casted Phantasmal Killer, where he starts to go crazy, pulls out his axe, staring above Satine, suddenly jumps over her, and attacks whatever he is seeing. Once he lands, Yag'Farad uses his thunder gauntlets to stun him, and then cure wounds. Ajani turns around, and asks Satine, screaming, what did you do to me. Yag'Farad notices the people sitting near the stage, stand up and start moving back slowly. Satine casts Minor Illusion of a lady Leonin, then wraps her whip, dispels her spell, and lets Ajani go. The crowd goes crazy. Satine promotes her mimosas, where she will get a 5% cut for life for introducing it to the barkeep.

Second act was just dancing.

About 20 people start moving to the bar to buy the mimosas.

At the beginning of the third act, a pole appeared on stage, and Satine appears at the center of pole. "Feast your eyes upon this" Satine Misty Steps onto the balcony, then to one of the larger tables, where she says tips are very highly encouraged, and that someone on that table might get a little something special. She immediately teleports to the pole. She goes from a strip pole t4eas, to an irish dance on the tables, one by one, asking for tips. SHE Misty Steps back to the stage. She calls Billy to the stage, and he obliges. She tries to seduce Billy into a possible strip tease, and Billy says no, even after her pushing. Unseen Servant goes around collecting tips.

Satine asked about customers that have not paid their tabs, Keggy said that she'd talk to her management about letting them do it, if the party keeps 10% of the tab.

They ask Keggy about any fighting arenas, Keggy recommends The Massacre Amphitheater, where they can fight with armor and weapons, and cast magic.

They get to The Massacre Amphitheater, where the entry fee is 10 Copper (cp). As they pay the fee, Satine asks the entrance guy, who the best fighter is, the mentions Morwen Steelcaster, a dragonborn fighter/barbarian class.

Satine rushes over to the registration kiosk, where the registration fee is 10 Silver (sp). Satinegives the man 11 Silver (sp), with a wink. The registrar, tells her that anything goes in the arena, except bringing poeple from outside, wether its from the crowd, or summoned. The fights is to the death, knockout, or submission, to be decided before the match with the opponent, if they do not decide, it is assumed either of the three will go.

The fights start, they announce there's ging to be a new fighter, crowd goes crazy, they start getting bets for her fight. Satine's winnings would be 5 Gold (gp).

Satine fights Orixina Nightmight, a female High Elf bard. She wins the fight, it's no contest. Satine's winnings are 5 Gold (gp).
